A minor in Legal Studies requires 6 credit hours of core courses, POLS 1303 Law, Politics & Government and POLS 1403 Global Politics, Law, and Culture. With the exception of Interdisciplinary (IDST) courses, no more than 12 credit hours can be in a single discipline. Please be aware that some upper-level courses have pre-requisites. All courses offered towards this minor must be completed with a grade of C- or better. The requirements for a minor vary by faculty and program(s) of study.

BA students are required to complete a minimum of 24 credit hours in their minor. Only 6 credit hours at the 1000-level may be offered towards minor requirements in one subject.

Minor requirements for BSc students depend on program and specialization, but generally a minimum of 18 credit hours is required. If you are a science student interested in completing the Legal Studies minor, it is recommended that you consult with your program's academic advisor in order to confirm your specific minor requirements.
