2016: Dr. Ronald Deibert presents "War in the World Brain”

Ronald Deibert, founder and director of the renowned Citizen Lab, will be the H.T. Reid Lecturer at Acadia University. Deibert’s lecture, "War in the World Brain,” is based on his bestselling book, "Black Code: Inside the Battle for Cyberspace," in which he explores how the digital technologies that have innovated global communication also create spaces for digital security threats emanating from criminal enterprises, corporations, and state governments.

Deibert’s lecture will be a provocative exploration of geopolitics, international and national security, and personal privacy in the digital age.

Free to the public.
Doors open at 6:30; lecture begins at 7:00.

Acadia University's H.T. Reid Lecture series, a collaboration of the Department of History and Classics and the Department of Politics, was established in 1958 in order to give the opportunity to an “eminent scholar or person of affairs” to publicly address the university community on issues of politics and history.
